Goat’s Milk Caramel Sauce
Cajeta, or Goats Milk Caramel is a Mexican tradition. This decadent sauce differs from regular caramel in that the base is derived from goat’s milk as opposed to sweeteners. Much of its sweetness actually comes from the natural lactose in the milk making for a caramel that is slightly less sweet while smooth and creamy!
How is Cajeta made?
We begin with goats milk fresh from our farm. Raw turbinado sugar is added, never any corn syrup or refined sugars. The mixture, and any flavorings, are then carefully boiled down for as long as 5 hours until the proper consistency, color and flavor are reached.
Flavors:
We use only the best ingredients in our goats milk caramel. Real vanilla, organic cinnamon, fair trade cocoa, and premium liquors and spirits.
