This is a hands-on farm position centered on completing established daily chores safely, efficiently, and consistently. It can be a good entry point for someone with limited professional farm experience who has a solid work ethic and is willing to learn.

Typical responsibilities may include

• Feeding goats and other livestock
• Hay, water, bedding, and routine pen or barn cleaning
• Egg collection, washing, and packing
• Moving animals according to established instructions
• Produce washing, packing, and other seasonal farm tasks
• General cleanup and routine farm support

This is not a herd-management position. Major animal-health, breeding, treatment, and management decisions remain with farm leadership.

Best fit: Dependable, physically capable, able to follow routines, willing to work in all seasons, and able to become increasingly independent after training.

We are looking for someone who can be trained to independently cover assigned milking and dairy chore shifts. This role requires attention to sanitation, animal handling, pace, consistency, and the ability to recognize when something is not normal.

Typical responsibilities may include

• Milking setup, animal flow, milking, and washdown
• Routine goat feeding and dairy-animal chores
• Maintaining clean equipment and work areas
• Observing animals during milking and reporting abnormalities
• Following established dairy and food-safety procedures
• Occasional support with other farm tasks as needed

Previous dairy or production-livestock experience is helpful but not always required. What matters most is whether you can learn the system, work efficiently, handle animals calmly, and eventually manage a complete assigned milking shift without constant supervision.

Opportunity to grow: A strong Farm Chore Assistant may train into milking, and an experienced applicant may combine both roles for additional hours.

Our market has grown substantially, and we are looking for someone who can gradually take real ownership of day-to-day market operations. This is not simply a cashier position. The store is the home base, but customer service is only one part of the job.

Typical responsibilities may include

• Friendly, knowledgeable customer service and product suggestions
• Opening and closing the market
• Receiving deliveries and putting product away correctly
• Stocking, rotation, merchandising, and display upkeep
• Inventory checks, identifying shortages, and routine ordering support
• Pricing, labeling, and product organization
• Bulk-item packing, egg or produce packing, and other productive work during slower periods
• Handling routine customer and operational issues independently

Farm experience is not required. Relevant experience may come from grocery, natural foods, independent retail, restaurant or hospitality work, warehouse or inventory operations, garden centers, hardware, or another small business environment.

Best fit: Someone commercially mature who understands that labor has value, customers come first, correction is part of work, and a good operator solves reasonable problems before escalating them.

Opportunity to grow: Hours and pay may increase as the person demonstrates the ability to independently manage larger portions of market and distribution operations.
