🌱 Saco River Farms Organic Produce Shares
Seasonal, Farm-Grown Produce — Limited Membership

At Saco River Farms, we grow intentionally—for a limited number of households who want to eat directly from this farm.
This is not a bulk CSA.
This is a curated, seasonal produce share, built around quality, timing, and trust.
✔ Limited membership
✔ Weekly curated shares
✔ Flexible monthly enrollment
🌿 How Our Produce Is Different

We grow and source produce to a standard that goes beyond typical retail.
- All share produce is grown organically, using practices that meet or exceed Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association standards
- We prioritize farms using regenerative soil practices, including low- and no-till systems
- At Saco River Farms, we use very low to no pesticides—the vast majority of our crops never see pesticides at all
- Fertility comes from our own system:
- compost and nutrients sourced directly from the animals we raise
- integrated into a diversified, closed-loop farm model
👉 This is the highest-integrity produce we offer—and it is prioritized for share members.
🥕 What Members Receive
Each week, members receive a curated selection of what is ready now.
Typical shares include:
- seasonal greens and vegetables
- staple crops (carrots, cucumbers, tomatoes, etc.)
- occasional specialty or limited items
We focus on:
- consistency over excess
- quality over volume
- food that works together
🛒 Market Availability (Important Clarification)
We do offer produce in the farm market.
However:
- selection varies week to week
- availability is not guaranteed
- not all produce meets the same growing standard
👉 Produce Share members receive the most consistent access to what we grow ourselves.
